Comprehensive exterior renovation of existing three storey conventional steel building. Strata's scope included design and construction management services.
This project upgraded the North and West exterior faces, a new building lobby, removal and replacement of the existing roof, new HVAC including full distribution, new electrical service, and updated fire protection. The facade scope included installation of brick and limestone columns, metal panelling, new larger windows, upgraded store fronts and a built up parapet. The updated fire protection scope included new sprinklers on the first and second floor as well as a complete fire alarm system package, which included new emergency and exit lighting. The sidewalks on the West side of the building where also replaced. Strata was engaged to begin the design services in November of 2014, began the on-site construction in June of 2015 with completion in March, 2016.
