Prairie Machine & Parts received a complete fresh and modern second floor renovation with the addition of a vestibule and corridor on the main floor at their 3335 Millar Avenue building location.
Project Details
The Prairie Machine & Parts office renovation consisted of demolition of the existing 2,115 square foot second floor office space, as well as the addition of a vestibule and corridor on the main floor. The office space was gutted back to the perimeter walls including all mechanical and electrical utilities, the existing warehouse staircase connecting the two floors was removed, and a portion of the main floor space was closed off to create a pass-through corridor from the entrance vestibule through to the shop on the other side of the building. The existing wood roof joists were reinforced to support a new rooftop unit to service the new second floor layout, and were left exposed throughout the open concept floor plan. All electrical was upgraded back to the sub-panel, and suspended light fixtures and exposed spiral duct finished off the open and industrial look of the open workstation area. Washrooms, three offices and a boardroom with storefront glazing finished off the second floor.
