UNA Pizza + Wine

Strata provided Construction Management services and collaborated with the client and their Calgary-based design team on opening Saskatchewan’s first UNA Pizza + Wine restaurant. This bustling restaurant had both a dine-in and a takeout kitchen complete with an outdoor patio.

Project Details

UNA Pizza + Wine is a new, Mediterranean influenced restaurant, occupying 3,424 square feet of space at 707 Broadway Avenue, a building in the Nutana neighbourhood that was recently brought back to prominence through a Strata design-build façade upgrade. UNA engaged Strata for construction management services to bring Saskatoon’s version of their established Calgary hotspot to life. The main floor restaurant tenant improvement was developed with both retail and take-away space, and with a comfortable, design-forward restaurant, thanks to the Calgary-team of design and engineering professionals. At the restaurant, a substantial, perfectly-lit, L-shaped bar for eating, sipping, cooking, and serving, sits centre-stage amongst booth and table-seating. In the summer months, folding storefront glass walls facing Broadway Avenue can be fully opened to blur the line between those eating inside and out. The tenant improvement continued in the basement, where 2,752 square feet of space was developed for UNA’s office and storage spaces.
