The 13th floor of the Saskatoon Square building received an entire renovation built off of the collaboration of our Client’s vision and Strata’s very own design team.
Project Details
This project began with our in house design team meeting on the 13th floor in our Client’s new space. The client had a vision for his space with a view, that is undeniably one of the best in the city. Looking out on the river, the office already had the view, but required some updating on the interior to open it up and allow the natural light to shine throughout the space. Design rearranged some of the layout to have better circulation in the space, keeping executive offices to the perimeter and reception on one end of the space and the kitchen and boardroom on the opposite end. We left some of the ceiling space open concept, painting out all of the duct work, electrical, and concrete a bright white. Acoustical ceiling tile was added to the offices to allow for privacy. Flooring was a combination of luxury vinyl tile and carpet tile with a warm wood veneer for the millwork, giving the space an inviting look and feel. Offices used a combination of conventional drywall spine walls, and Teknion glass systems for the fronts. The demountable product allowed us to achieve an acceptable sound rating while eliminating any mullions on corners, maximizing the glazing surface. Reception incorporated the wood veneer with some bright white quartz added in to create a luxurious feel.
