Normandale Holdings

Site development included modifications to the underground sprinkler system, removal of redundant sidewalks, placement of new concrete sidewalks, re-grading of the front yard, and the incorporation of a variety of shrubs along the West face of the building.

For the façade upgrade, cladding and soffits on the existing canopy were updated, the brick colour was changed with a hard-wearing and low maintenance stain, and galvanized-aluminum flashings were added. The biggest change, though, was the addition of large storefront windows along the entire west and south faces of the building - it’s hard to miss them from the street and the interior benefits from all the added natural light. A unique aspect of this project was the existing brick, which was removed during framing for the larger window openings, was salvaged, cleaned, and re-toothed back into place before staining.

The interior space, which was previously leased as an office space, was opened up and refreshed with new drywall and paint. It’s ready and waiting for new tenants!
