Strata was thrilled to be a part of this major face lift over haul at Precision Autobody for Joe and his amazing staff, which included the exterior and interior space.
Project Details
For the exterior, the stone and old cladding was removed; the existing windows and signage was taken down. Strata cut in and framed new overhead doors, reframed the storefront windows and oversized the man door out front. New, flat black window frames and windows were installed, which contrasted with the galvalume cladding that was installed throughout. The top canopy was cladded out in black and the existing red lite ‘PRECISION AUTOBODY’ signage was re-used. The line of nine existing overheads doors located along the North of the building were painted out black, which was a great way of adding to the exterior of the building in a cost effective approach. As well, the existing mastic/tar roofing was upgraded with an acrylic paintable membrane (Acrylabs), backed with a 10 year warranty.
Strata completely gutted the interior scope of work, opening up the floor system of the mezzanine above to allow us to upgrade the structural assemblies as needed. Steel beams and columns were installed in a number of areas, which gave our clients the flexibility of having a wide open space. Interior fit up included a manager’s office, which housed storefront glazing, a reception/sitting area, a relocated shop/warehouse area, two bathrooms and a coffee/wash up area. Unique features included the contrasting light and dark LVP flooring, angled windows cut into the stairwell, pre-lit millwork with red quartz columns and a pre-lit interior sign above the reception desk.
